Healthy Minds, Healthy Bodies

Soul Strength VT takes a whole person approach to improving mental health and wellbeing.  To that end, Soul Strength VT provides integrative counseling and wellness programming via individual, group and workshop formats.  In addition to benefiting people with mental health needs, this approach may also be helpful for those managing chronic health challenges as well as those feeling stressed, burnt out, and looking to optimize their health.

Therapy Beyond “the Couch”

…and beyond the “one size fits all” approach!

Based on concepts derived from the fields of Behavioral Medicine, Mental Health Counseling and Health Sciences, mental and physical health are viewed and treated as one highly integrated system. Soul Strength incorporates wellness and health behavior change into counseling practices, and vice versa, counseling practices are integrated into health promotion services.

Soul Strength believes there is more than one standard approach to mental health care. While individual psychotherapy/counseling is certainly one of my offerings, other wellness alternatives such as groups, workshops and movement classes are offered to provide a full range of health promoting interventions.

Keep your eyes peeled! SS Move is coming back in workshop format Fall 2023!

SS Move is a stress relieving fitness class, where the focus is on mental wellness (in addition to physical health). Through the integration of movement, mindfulness and mental health boosting techniques, classes are designed to help individuals manage stress and improve mental health, all while getting a great workout. Classes are led by Kate Sherman-Licensed Therapist, Health Educator and Certified Personal Trainer/Group Ex. Instructor.
